It is with heavy, heavy heart that I must bear the sad news of my father, Dr. John Francis DeNitto, passing away on Friday, May 18, 2018 in Rhinebeck, NY. Though a professor by career, he was first a highly accomplished musician and music led his life all the way through to his very last days. We felt that he would certainly not object to a lovely concert featuring the St. Philip’s Choir, The Brasiles Ensemble, The Mary Powell as well as his grandson, Speare Hodges at the piano.
Is is important to point out that my father was the last remaining member of the original Brasiles family, for which The Brasiles Ensemble gets its name.
